WA Health sought feedback though public consultation on the development of its Genomics Strategy 2021. The Strategy was designed to facilitate the application of genomic knowledge and services to advance medicine and health care. While the Strategy is primarily for use by the WA health system, it recognises the intersections with other genomics strategies and that collaboration with other government and research partners, as well as genomic initiatives, will support application of genomics for Western Australia. Australian Genomics’ response highlighted the synergies with projects being undertaken in association with other strategies and national and international genomics initiatives.
