Consideration of policy, regulatory and legislative barriers to national and jurisdictional genomic implementation

Guided by the ‘State and Territory Health Systems Consistency project‘ and the ‘Support of the National Health Genomics Policy Framework and Implementation Plan Review,’ Australian Genomics will identify, document, and report on policy, regulatory, and legislative barriers to genomic implementation in Australia.

In 2024-25, we will examine the obstacles to inter-jurisdictional genomic and health data sharing for clinical purposes. This effort will be conducted in collaboration with the LINEAGE Study, the Clinical NAGIM Project, and the Expanded Reproductive Carrier Screening Implementation Projects.
