Developing responses to government consultations

Over the past three years, Australian Genomics has contributed responses to 66 government consultations, encompassing both open public consultations and targeted requests. This engagement provides a direct avenue for government interaction, allowing us to consolidate genomic research findings and leverage our expert community to inform unified responses to specific policy issues prioritised by the government. 

In 2024-25, we will continue to develop and submit responses to consultations, including the ongoing HTA Review, the modernisation of My Health Record, and the Australian Commission for Safety and Quality in Healthcare consultation on pathology accreditation standards.
