Support of the National Health Genomics Policy Framework and Implementation Plan Review

The Health Technology and Genomics Collaboration will review and update the National Health Genomics Policy Framework (2017) and its associated Implementation Plan (2018) in 2024-25. The Australian Genomics program aligns with many priorities of the Framework and Implementation Plan, such as the National Approach to Genomic Information Management (NAGIM), standardised consent materials and nomenclature, and promoting public awareness of genomics. 

In 2024-25, Australian Genomics will partner with various organisations to review the Framework and Implementation Plan, cataloguing actions and outputs achieved so far. As directed by the Department, we will also carry out ad-hoc research activities to support the review.
