The document aims to provide a roadmap and vision for National Research Infrastructure investment for the next 5 to 10 years. Research infrastructure comprises a range of nationally significant assets, facilities and services that support leading-edge research and innovation, as well as a highly skilled workforce. The Roadmap outlines research themes and challenges, and enhancements and step-changes to support those challenges. The submission focussed on the need to build digital research infrastructure and a strategy alongside it, to meet the evolving needs of the research community. The need for ongoing, robust evaluation of research infrastructure was also a theme of the submission.
