The Australian Government is investing $500.1 million in genomics research over 10 years (2018-2028) through the Genomics Health Futures Mission (GHFM) under the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). The strategic priorities of the Mission were reviewed by a mid-term review and an Expert Advisory Panel to guide the development of a refreshed Roadmap and Implementation Plan. The Department of Health and Aged Care invited public consultation feedback on the draft updated documents. Australian Genomics’ submission highlighted how funding allocations should reflect an increased focus on maximising complementarity and minimising duplication in Australia’s genomic research funding landscape.
